Detour: Spin It Up or Churn It Out
Copenhagen, Denmark is known as the cycling city of the world. It is famous for the amount of cyclists that take the streets every day. In this detour, teams are required to bike ride around Denmark using a simple map. Along the way, they have to find the three shops located on a map and receive a part of a picture. When they reach their final destination, the team must correctly figure out the the clue is a picture of the next destination (The Rundetaarn, an observation tower that was constructed in 1642. They Must make their way to the Rundetaarn to find a clue that will then lead them to their roadblock.)

In Churn It Out, teams have an oppurtunity to experience a traditional Danish lifestyle. Teams must go to Kongens Lyngby. Teams must wear an old-fashioned Danish outfit and churn butter in wooden churns and then molding them with wooden molds. Once they complete the task to the satisfaction of the dairymaid, they will receive their next clue. Roadblock
Teams must travel to the Hans Christian Andersen statue in the heart of Copenhagen. There, one team member must wear traditional garb and memorize a poem written by Hans Christian Andersen. Once it is recited to the satisfaction of the poet, they will receive their next clue. |
